Welcome to the New Year from the WCCHSE Directors!

As we begin a new year, we want to extend a warm welcome to our WCCHSE community—educators, learners, clinicians, partners, and collaborators across Western Canada.

The year ahead brings both opportunity and responsibility. Health sciences education and practice continue to evolve in the context of rapid change, increasing complexity, and growing pressures on individuals and systems alike. At WCCHSE, we remain committed to creating space for ongoing, accessible opportunities for shared learning, collaboration, and honest dialogue that supports resilience, innovation, and human-centred approaches to education and care.

This year, we will continue to strengthen connections across institutions and sectors, elevate the voices of our collaborators, and focus on initiatives that bridge education and practice in meaningful ways. Our upcoming conference series, Resilient Health Sciences: Educating for Tomorrow’s Demands, is just one example of how we are working together to respond thoughtfully and proactively to today’s challenges. We invite you to further engage with this work by submitting an abstract to share your insights and by joining the WCCHSE team as a collaborator, helping to shape and strengthen health sciences education across Western Canada.
